First off, let me start by saying CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement!!!
Your wedding day is going to be one of the best days of your life! It's also going to be one of the quickest. The best piece of advice my husband and I were given before our wedding in 2008 was to make sure to take a few moments together at different points of the day to just stop and soak it in; take some mental pictures; file away those amazing feelings in a special place in your heart so you can remember them forever.
The second best piece of advice we got was to choose our photographer wisely!
Aside from your husband or wife to-be, your photographer is probably the one other person you'll spend as much time with on the day. You need to make sure that the photographer you choose gets you as a couple. Makes you feel comfortable. Makes you laugh.....
...And takes photos that you love.
You're going to remember your wedding day through the eyes, heart and talent of your photographer. Stalk their website & social media, it will give you a good feel for the kinds of images they create, and whether or not they fit with your own style as a couple. Some couples like to have lots of fun & laughs, some couples are so in love that they can't keep their hands off each other, and some couples have a quiet love and a language all their own. Choose the photographer whose photos speak to your heart the most.
I want my Brides & Grooms to choose me because they trust me, and know my work will be what they want and will make them happy in the end. I take a candid approach to shooting weddings, focusing on the fun & feel of the day, rather than lots of posed portraits & awkward photo shoots. I'm the photographer you hire when you hate having to smile for the camera!
I know wedding photography is a big investment but I can honestly tell you this...
You're going to be concerned with the price only one time... when you buy.
You're going to be concerned with quality, however, during the lifetime of the product... and your photos are forever!
I specialise in documenting the candid, unposed moments that take place on a wedding day. I always try to capture the heart-felt moments, and especially the laughs.
